Season of Giving: How Custom Quality Build Gave Back This Christmas

At Custom Quality Build, we believe Christmas is more than a season—it’s a reminder of why we do what we do. It’s a time to reflect on God’s goodness, to serve with purpose, and to extend love to others. And this past Christmas, that belief guided us to support three organizations that are truly changing lives in Lethbridge.

As the lead for community relations, this is one of the parts of my job I cherish most—getting to connect our work to the people and causes that matter.

In December 2024, we donated $1,000 each to the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen, Interfaith Food Bank, and Streets Alive Mission—not for recognition, but because we’ve seen how these organizations meet people in the hardest moments and remind them that they’re not alone.

Why These Organizations?

Each group serves our community in a way that reflects the hands and feet of Christ:

  • Lethbridge Soup Kitchen offers warm meals, dignity, and a place of rest to those experiencing hunger and homelessness—especially during cold winter months when hope can feel out of reach.
  • Interfaith Food Bank serves hundreds of families facing food insecurity, offering more than just groceries—it offers peace of mind, especially during the holidays when pressure weighs heavy.
  • Streets Alive Mission reaches people facing addiction, poverty, and homelessness with a message of faith, healing, and restoration. Their work is truly rooted in grace and second chances.

    A Moment That Moved Me

While delivering our donation to the Soup Kitchen, I heard about a man who had been coming in for years. He never said much—just came, ate quietly, and left. But this past year, something changed. He started volunteering to clean tables. Then he began greeting others at the door. Now, he’s helping serve meals.

There was no dramatic announcement—just small, steady steps forward. That’s the power of community. Of people who don’t give up on each other.

And it reminded me of the verse that carried me through the season:

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.†— Galatians 6:9

A Family-Driven Mission

My dad started this business not just to build houses—but to build a legacy of service. He’s taught me, and our whole team, that our work means nothing if it doesn’t lift up others.

These Christmas donations weren’t a one-time gesture. They were a reflection of our values: faith, family, generosity, and gratitude. And as someone who grew up in this company, I’m proud to help carry those values forward.

Looking Ahead

We plan to continue partnering with these organizations throughout the year—whether through donations, volunteering, or helping spread awareness. Because community isn’t built in a day, and change doesn’t come from one act—it comes from consistent love in action.

Thank You

To the teams at Lethbridge Soup Kitchen, Interfaith Food Bank, and Streets Alive: thank you. You live out compassion daily, often without recognition. We see you. We support you. And we’re honoured to walk alongside you.

From all of us at Custom Quality Build, Merry Christmas—and may this new year be one of continued faith, hope, and service.
